Job Description
Akkodis is seeking a Program Project Manager for a Contract job with a client in Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid). Responsibilities include overseeing all projects within the program, ensuring timelines and milestones are met, and proactively managing risks, issues, and dependencies (RAIDs).
Rate Range: $52/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Program Project Manager job responsibilities include:
Taking end-to-end ownership of the program and ensuring successful delivery of all projects within the program.
Overseeing multiple projects, ensuring timelines, milestones, and quality standards are met.
Identifying, managing, and reporting risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies (RAID).
Collaborating with project managers to monitor progress, address challenges, and provide necessary support.
Preparing and presenting weekly status reports to stakeholders.
Removing obstacles and influencing teams to ensure projects are progressing as planned.
Maintaining clear communication across multi-disciplinary teams, locations, and time zones.
Ensuring alignment with business goals and project deliverables, particularly in financial markets and risk analytics.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Finance, or a related field.
8+ years in program/project management, with experience in Market Risk or Global Markets technology.
Strong knowledge of financial markets, market risk, and exposure to financial/product control functions within a bank.
Proficiency in tools such as SQL, Jira, MS Project, SharePoint, and MS Excel, with experience in Agile methodologies.
