Job Details Job Location Indianapolis IN - Indianapolis, IN Description Company: Parking Management Company - PMC Job Title : Class C Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Shuttle Driver Position Type: Full-time and Part-time Pay: Hourly + Tips We are seeking an experienced Class C Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Shuttle Driver to join our team. They are responsible for providing safe, reliable passenger transportation while maintaining the highest standards of customer service and safety compliance. This role combines professional driving expertise, safety consciousness, and exceptional guest service skills. Key Responsibilities: Safety & Vehicle Operation: Operate shuttle vehicles in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies. Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Monitor and report maintenance needs promptly to ensure vehicle safety and reliability. Follow all traffic laws, company safety protocols, and emergency procedures to ensure passenger safety. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional vehicle appearance always. Customer Service: Transport passengers efficiently between designated locations, ensuring timeliness and a positive travel experience. Assist passengers with boarding, luggage handling, and mobility needs, providing courteous and professional support. Address passenger inquiries and concerns professionally, maintaining a friendly and approachable demeanor. Ensure a welcoming and comfortable environment for all passengers throughout their journey. Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate trip logs, mileage records, and other required documentation using company-provided systems. Complete vehicle inspection reports and ensure compliance with DOT Hours of Service regulations. Utilize electronic logging devices (ELDs) to track driving hours and ensure regulatory compliance. Participate in regular safety training sessions and team meetings to stay updated on company policies and best practices. Other duties as assigned by management Qualifications Qualifications: Class C Commercial Driving License (CDL) Specifications, Licensing and Requirements: A Class C license with a Passenger (P) endorsement is required for operating vehicles such as passenger vans, minivans, stretch limousines, light trucks, and small buses. These vehicles must have a capacity to transport 16 to 23 passengers, including the driver. Valid Class C license with passenger endorsement and a clean driving record for the past 3 years. Current DOT medical certification and compliance with drug screening requirements. Ability to pass motor vehicle record (MVR) and background screening requirements. Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience, preferably in shuttle or bus operations. Ability to drive various vehicles, including golf carts, shuttles, and passenger vans, safely and efficiently. Customer Service and Communication: Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with passengers, team members, and management. Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or transportation industries. Enjoy interacting with the public and freely helping passengers. Ability to maintain the confidentiality of guests and company information. Physical and Scheduling Requirements: Physical capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, assist passengers with mobility needs, and perform tasks involving bending, standing, and occasional running or jogging. Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and varying shifts. Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions. Professionalism and Appearance: Clean-cut, professional, and uniformed appearance always. Familiarity with designated routes and local roads for efficient transportation of passengers. Ability to use personal cell phones for work purposes when required. At least 21 years of age to meet company and regulatory requirements. This position requires adherence to DOT regulations, company safety protocols, and commitment to exceptional service.
