Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner - Emergency- Pipeline Medicine

In the role of an Advanced Care Provider (Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner) you will provide concierge emergency medical care to Sollis Health patients in our clinics with the supervision/oversight of an attending Physician. This is a pivotal role as part of a growing organization providing seamless care to both adult and pediatric patients for cases that would usually be treated in a traditional emergency room.

Full Time, Part Time and Per Diem Pipeline

Responsibilities

• Perform medical evaluations and formulate a differential diagnosis and treatment plan for urgent and emergent care within the scope of emergency medicine, as requested.
• Perform medical procedures that include obtaining IV access (including administration of fluids and medications), splinting, suturing, phlebotomy, performing POC testing, and performing EKGs.
• Formulate a differential diagnosis and treatment plan to occur in the patient’s home or other setting outside of a medical clinic setting for urgent and emergent care within the scope of emergency medicine.
• Triage incoming patients needs, assess their concerns, and determine the right course of action, in center, virtual or at home care.
• Perform video Telemedicine consults when appropriate.
• Work closely with a team of Physicians, nurses, and technicians to discuss your assessment.
• Assess and treat Covid-related cases which includes obtaining clinical samples to test for the virus, performing point of care testing, obtaining blood for antibody blood tests, providing general symptom management and recommendations.
• Document clinical evaluation and treatment in the electronic health record, AthenaHealth.
• Work closely with the Medical Director and other clinical team members to ensure all policies are adhered to and that you deliver quality care in an innovative setting.
• Coordinate additional care with our After Care, and house calls teams or with one of our Medical Partners.
• Make patients and family members comfortable, patiently and professionally answering any questions they have and using patient-centered empathetic communication at all times.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related operational projects as needed.
• Perform related duties as requested.

Experience

We believe extraordinary people come from a variety of backgrounds, but ideally, we would expect that you have:

• Bachelor’s Degree, required. Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program, required.
• Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner state license and ability to practice in California State
• Preferred 2-3 years of Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner experience in emergency departments and/or urgent care centers
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certification required upon hire.

• Tech savvy with the ability to use and or learn our systems including but not limited to Slack, Athena Health, Salesforce and Humanity etc.
• Superb technical skills, including phlebotomy, peripheral IV placement, medication administration
• Ability to be adaptable and work in a fluid, multitasking environment
• Strong process and organizational skills
• The ability to problem-solve and think outside of the box
• Be comfortable interfacing with high profile clientele

Range: $85-91 per hour

This is the anticipated rate/range Sollis Health reasonably expects to pay candidates for this position in Southern California. Sollis is a multi-state employer and this rate/range may not reflect the pay for positions that are performed solely in localities outside of this location. Actual pay is dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, location, education, etc.

• In addition to requirements imposed by law, arbitration shall be conducted under the JAMS Employment Arbitration Rules & Procedures then in existence. The arbitrator shall be one (1) single person that is a retired judge or licensed attorney with experience serving as a JAMS arbitrator, who is mutually agreed to by the parties, and who is subject to disqualification on the same grounds as would apply to a judge of a court of general jurisdiction in the district in which the arbitration is proceeding. The Company and I shall use the JAMS office in the city closest to the location of the Company site to which I applied or was hired, or such other mutually convenient location that the Company and I agree upon. Resolution of any Covered Dispute shall be based solely upon the law governing the claims and defenses pleaded, and the arbitrator may not invoke any basis (including but not limited to, notions of "just cause") other than such controlling law. The arbitrator shall have the immunity of a judicial officer from civil liability when acting in the capacity of an arbitrator, which immunity supplements any other existing immunity. Likewise, all communications during or in connection with the arbitration proceedings are privileged. As reasonably required to allow full use and benefit of this agreement, the arbitrator shall extend the times set for the giving of notices and setting of hearings. The arbitrator shall issue a written opinion setting forth the facts and law supporting any award. The Company shall pay the arbitrator’s fees and other costs relating to the arbitration forum, but I and the Company will be responsible for our own costs and for our attorneys’ fees should we choose to be represented by counsel, unless the arbitrator shifts one party’s costs and attorneys’ fees to the other party in accordance with applicable law. It is agreed that the Company shall not be responsible for paying the arbitrator’s fees and costs for the arbitration hearing sooner than 60 days before the commencement of the arbitration hearing. The arbitrator’s written decision shall be final, binding, and conclusive on the parties and may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.
• Should any term or provision, or portion thereof of this arbitration agreement be declared void or unenforceable, it shall be severed and the remainder of this agreement to arbitrate shall be enforceable. I understand and agree that no implied, oral, or written agreement contrary to the express language of this agreement to arbitrate is valid unless signed by both me and the Company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
• I acknowledge that this Agreement is not intended to interfere with my rights to collectively bargain, to engage in protected, concerted activity, or to exercise other rights protected under the National Labor Relations Act, and that I will not be subject to disciplinary action of any kind for opposing the arbitration provisions of this agreement.
