Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detailoriented Medical Records Supervisor to oversee the management and processing of medical records in our healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will lead a team of medical records staff ensuring that all records are accurately maintained securely stored and efficiently processed. This role requires strong leadership communication and organizational skills as well as proficiency in data entry and knowledge of medical terminology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership:

    • Supervise and lead a team of medical records/data entry staff Administrative Assistants and Medical Administrative support personnel.
    • Act as the team lead for all medical records projects ensuring timely completion and adherence to quality standards.
    • Provide training to staff on specific procedures databases spreadsheets and systems to ensure consistent and accurate data management.
  • Records Management:

    • Manage the creation transfer filing and processing of electronic and paper medical records.
    • Ensure that medical records are accurately maintained securely stored and readily accessible as needed.
    • Communicate with Occupational Health Clinics (OHCs) and other stakeholders regarding medical records archiving retrieval and storage issues.
  • Quality Control and Workflow Monitoring:

    • Monitor work production workflow and quality issues related to medical records and data management.
    • Generate reports on production quality and other relevant metrics including medical surveillance surveys as requested.
    • Determine resources needed and establish timeframes for completing medical records projects.
  • Data Entry and Systems Management:

    • Maintain a working knowledge of data entry systems ensuring fast and accurate data input.
    • Utilize Microsoft applications and basic computer systems to manage and process medical records efficiently.
    • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of databases and recordkeeping systems.

Qualifications :

  • Education and Experience:

    • High school diploma or GED required.
    • At least one year of experience in the medical records field.
    • Minimum of two years of data entry experience demonstrating fast and accurate data entry skills.
  • Skills and Knowledge:

    • Strong leadership communication and organizational skills.
    • Ability to problemsolve and manage multiple tasks in a fastpaced environment.
    • Familiarity with medical science and technology terminology.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft applications basic computer and website use.

Compensation Min: $50000 Max: $70000

This position is in the proposal stage we are waiting to be awarded the project.

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical financial and other benefits. The final salary and offer will be determined by the applicants background experience skills internal equity and alignment with geographical market data.
