About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Philanthropy Officer (CPO) to lead the development and implementation of fundraising strategies that support the organization's current and long-term objectives. The CPO will be responsible for achieving annual fundraising goals, managing a team engaged in various fundraising activities, and overseeing the Volunteer and Marketing Communications teams. This role is pivotal in the organization's mission to provide nutritious food and resources to the community, and the successful candidate will be expected to have a strong connection to the mission and vision of the organization. The CPO will also be involved in community engagement, serving as a spokesperson, and will be required to travel within the service area. The ideal candidate for the CPO position at the company will have a minimum of 10 years' experience in a fundraising role, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets, and at least 5 years' in a management capacity. Professional skills should include expertise in all areas of philanthropy, such as major gifts, grant writing, and corporate fundraising, as well as experience in marketing and communications. The candidate should be adept at leading a team, be results-oriented, and have a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Personal qualities should include integrity, emotional intelligence, and the ability to build and sustain relationships. A CFRE certification is preferred, and the candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Office and have experience with donor databases.
