We are looking for a full-time high-energy and enthusiastic go-to person to handle all day-to-day and monthly accounting functions. Looking for a strong team player who is self motivated and possesses the ability to multi-task, prioritize workload and adapt to a small growing company. You will be the most important person on our accounting / HR team. Excel skills a must, or a strong desire to learn everything there is to know in excel! We treat both our guests and our employees like family. We work hard and have fun in the process!

This position performs daily, monthly, and annual reporting that requires exceptional time management, accuracy, and attention to detail. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Payroll, Accounts Payable, Credit Card Reconciliation, Fixed Assets, Cash Management and Account Reconciliation. This position offers terrific opportunity for advancement and for future growth in accounting responsibilities like financial reporting, Inventory reconciliation and tax preparation.

Responsibilities:
•  Accounts payable
•  Payroll, tasting room staff bonuses & commission tracking
•  Daily Sales processing
•  Banking deposits & reconciliations
•  Pay direct shipping excise and sales tax filings
•  Credit Card Management
•  Preparation and posting of journal entries
•  Account reconciliation and analysis
•  Monthly financial reporting
•  Petty Cash management
•  Prepare, review, and analyze General Ledger accounts and reconciliations
•  Prepare reports from the general ledger system, using Excel or other software
•  Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
•  Must problem solve, document, research and possess data analysis skills
•  Filing and other clerical duties as needed
•  Take ownership of projects requested by management team

Qualifications:
•  2 year’s experience in wine industry
•  4 years minimum accounting experience required
•  QuickBooks experience required
•  Paychex experience a plus
•  eCellars experience a plus
•  Strong skills in Excel (experience with Pivot tables a plus, but also opportunity to gain experience on job)
•  Strong analytical skills and attention to detail is essential
•  Ability to multi-task and work independently
•  Must be highly organized, self-motivated & proactive
•  Team player who enjoys the many aspects of small family operations
•  Ability to work with confidential information
•  Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds
