Job Description

The Sports Director, working under the direction of the Senior Program Director, is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing programs and activities related to toddler, pre-school, youth, adult, and older adult sports and recreation.

Qualifications

•Bachelor's degree (preferred) in Physical Education, Exercise Science, Sports & Leisure Management, Recreation or related field.

•3-5 year's experience in youth sports, coaching or programming

•Supervisory experience including recruiting, hiring, and training

Essential Functions

•Overseeing and coordinating instructional and competitive sports programs

•Administering, overseeing, and/or instructing youth and adult sports programs

•Securing facility rentals with outside organizations

•Recruiting, hiring, and supervising staff and volunteers in sports programs including gymnastics, pickleball, and basketball.

•Organizing program schedules

•Developing and managing program budgets

•Assisting with marketing of programs and distribution of program materials.

•Managing payroll for support staff

•Assisting with planning special events including sponsorships and collaborations.
