Job Description
Akkodis is seeking a Senior Java FSE for a Contract job with a client in Plano, TX (Hybrid). The candidate’s responsibilities include designing and transforming solution architectures, leading technical projects with Microservices on Cloud, and mentoring peers to ensure successful project delivery.
Rate Range: $50/hour to $52/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Senior Java FSE job responsibilities include:
Designing and transforming solution architectures into application capabilities using Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and Microservices.
Leading technical projects with Microservices Architecture on both Cloud and on-premises environments.
Creating high-level design documents such as use-cases, activity diagrams, and database designs.
Participating in client meetings to understand and prioritize business requirements and applying domain-driven design.
Implementing secure coding practices and ensuring code quality through code coverage, format templates, and quality gates.
Establishing code branching, merging, and commit policies.
Mentoring and guiding peers to meet project deliverables.
Orchestrating deployments and preparing release notes.
Conducting root cause analysis of critical production issues using application monitoring and log analysis.
Contributing to the overall strategic direction and success of geospatial projects within the company.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
6+ years of experience in Full Stack Java development.
Expertise in Core Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, Microservices, React JS, and REST Web Services.
Experience with AWS Cloud, Angular JS, Test Automation, and Agile methodologies.
