School Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Location: Kansas City, KS

Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced School Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) for a full-time position with a dedicated school district in Kansas City, KS. This role offers the chance to make a positive impact on students' health and well-being in an educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care and assistance to students with medical needs, including daily living activities and mobility support.
• Assist with the implementation of Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs) under the supervision of the school nurse.
• Monitor and document students health status, reporting any changes or concerns to the school nurse.
• Support students with disabilities, including feeding, toileting, and hygiene tasks.
• Assist in administering prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with state and district guidelines.
• Promote a safe and healthy learning environment through collaboration with teachers and staff.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to student health emergencies.
• Maintain accurate, confidential health records for students.

Qualifications:

• Active CNA certification in the state of Kansas (required).
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (required).
• Previous experience working with children or in a school setting (preferred).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Successful completion of a state and federal background check (required).
