Job Description
Crown Automotive Group is hiring a Quality Control Coordinator for its Detail Center in St. Petersburg! As a Detail Coordinator, you will be responsible for administrative duties along with ensuring that established productivity and quality control standards are met while also ensuring that the service shop and equipment are maintained in a safe and usable condition.
A minimum of FIVE (5) years of detailing experience is necessary. Hours are based upon a FIVE (5) Day Workweek and require evenings and weekends.
Monday through Friday, 12pm - 8pm
Saturday, 8am - 7pm
Sunday, 12pm - 6pm
An annual income of up to $45k , including monthly bonuses, is based upon qualifications and performance.

Additional requirements: - High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Minimum of FIVE YEARS Detailing Experience
- Preferred knowledge of Internet, Windows and Personal Computers
- Basic Office Skills: phone, typing and calculator
- Ability to give customers a non-technical explanation of technical repairs.
- Ability to lead people and get results through others.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
- Problem analysis and problem resolution at a functional level.
- Self-starter and self directed.
- Attention to detail imperative.
- Able to handle stress and problems effectively and maintain a professional demeanor in all situations
- Excellent interpersonal/communication skills and customer service skills - approachable, cheerful, helpful, etc.
- Maintains professional appearance at all times.
- Commitment to company values.
- Current, Valid and Clean Driver's License for the past THREE YEARS and ability to meet US employment and Crown's eligibility requirements.
Responsibilities: - Maintains route sheet to track and manage flow of details and detail related work through the shop.
- Establishes standards for productivity and quality of detail work with service manager.
- Assures each job is assigned based on skill level of detailer.
- Reviews individual detailer productivity with service manager weekly.
- Establishes and maintains an effective detail quality control process.
- Assists lesser skilled detailers with difficult vehicles when necessary.
- Establishes a weekly work schedule for all detailers and provides a copy to service manager.
- Advises service manager immediately of any changes to established work schedule.
- Advises service manager immediately of any absences or tardiness of detail staff.
- Advises service manager immediately of any quality, productivity, or attendance related concerns with detail staff.
- Monitors group use of shop tools and equipment to minimize "down time" due to loss or breakage.
- Advises service manager of needed equipment, equipment repairs or supplies.
- Assists service manager to maintain safety and integrity in the workplace through example and supervision of detail staff.
- Reports any safety issues immediately to management.
- Reports any non-compliant workplace conditions or actions immediately to the service manager.
- Assists service advisors to expedite processing of vehicles through shop to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize vehicle days out of service.
- Assists service advisors when technical clarification is needed in explaining detail/finish work to customers.
- Attends weekly team leader meetings
- Ensures that responsibility for shop lock-up is assigned, and employee(s) responsible are aware of proper lock-up procedures.
- Other duties may be assigned, based on company's needs.
