Job Title: QA Tester Location: Remote, work from home in the US or UK only Position Type: Full-time (40 hours) What’s the Job? Uplift Games is the studio behind Adopt Me, the premiere pet adoption game on Roblox (35B+ sessions, 1.92 million record CCU). As we continue to grow our game studio and develop the best games, we are expanding our QA team to provide greater testing coverage for Adopt Me. We’re looking for a skilled QA Tester to join our growing QA team. Through a mix of quantitative and qualitative testing, you’ll work with production and developers to ensure that Adopt Me updates are bug free and high quality. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent time management and prioritization skills, and who thrives in a fast-paced environment. This is a remote position open to candidates who are based in the US or UK and can demonstrate eligibility to work in those countries. What You'll Be Doing Create and run test plans for Adopt Me content and updates Collaborate with developers and other members of the QA department to ensure that updates are high quality and bug-free Log defects and perform bug regression testing Isolate repro steps for bugs reported by the community Communicate with developers outside of QA and preemptively highlight potential issues with releases Your Background These are the things candidates really should have but can make up for in other areas. If you’re missing one or two, consider applying anyway, especially if you belong to a marginalized group. 1+ year(s) of QA experience (video game QA preferred, but not required) Familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office applications Strong prioritization skills Familiarity with defect tracking software (such as JIRA) Understanding of test case creation best practices Bonus Points These are things that can improve your candidacy, but none of these are necessary to apply. Experience working with an international and/or remote team. We work across many time zones, using Slack and voice chat to communicate. Experience with Roblox/Adopt Me. When possible, we provide transparent estimated salary ranges to set expectations early and to respect your time. We recognize, however, that salaries vary within our various remote geographical locations. To give an indication of the salary level for this role, we estimate the annual salary will be as follows for these example locations: Seattle, WA: $37,000 - $45,000 USD Our compensation package is intended to be competitive with your local market and is negotiable.
