This is a full-time position that works Monday through Friday with rotating call hours as well as rotating call on weekends. As part of the Imaging Services department, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing the PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System) to ensure the highest quality care for our patients and smooth operations for our healthcare teams.

Under the direction of the director, the PACS Administrator I is accountable for the following aspects of operations for all imaging departments: Proper operation and maintenance of all computer information systems within Imaging Services. Coordinate interaction/interface activities between and among all necessary systems. Plan, coordinate and implement system upgrades to include all computer information systems within Imaging Services. Work closely with all divisions of the department and the appropriate management teams. Will involve a high degree of interaction with a diverse population of UPMC staff and physicians as well as interaction with vendors.
At least three years of Radiology experience is required.
\nPrevious experience with PACS/RIS is strongly preferred. Broad knowledge in radiology with thorough knowledge of radiology information systems is required. Understanding of Radiology operations and workflow knowledge of: Microsoft Windows operating systems and associated tools. DICOM functionality. Troubleshooting skills and integration techniques. HL7 functionality, standards, troubleshooting skills and integration techniques. General networking principles. Dictation Systems and integration techniques. Web Browser and MicroSoft Office suite.
Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:or 2-year Information Technology degree
