Stafford Suites in Sumner is currently seeking a part time housekeeper to work at the Sumner Senior Center. This position is 2 hours/day Monday - Friday 4-6pm.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Housekeeper helps create a joyful and vibrant community by maintaining a beautiful environment, keeping the senior center tidy, clean, sanitary, and pleasing to the senses.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Performs the day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned.
• Must have high standards of cleanliness.
• Ensures that assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, comfortable and attractive manner.
• Follows established safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment and supplies.
• Follows established Infection Control practices when performing housekeeping procedures.
• Must be capable of operating and maintaining all housekeeping/laundry equipment
• Ability to work safely and to recognize potentially dangerous situations.
• Performs other tasks/duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Pass a criminal background and fingerprint check.
• Has compassion and a special interest in working with the senior population.
• Ability to work independently (with minimum supervision)
