Will Consider Research Data Analyst I.

The incumbent serves as a District staff person possessing knowledge in the techniques and methodologies utilized in Geographic Information  Systems (GIS). The incumbent performs research projects involving geospatial analysis and geospatial database management and helps fulfill  the Branch’s responsibility for providing analytical data, output, and mapping using GIS and Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD)  applications for various Caltrans Maintenance, Project Development, Planning and Asset Management and information delivery needs. The  incumbent maintains working knowledge of GIS software and related technologies including desktop and online platforms.

Eligibility for hire may be determined by your score on the Research Data Analyst II / Research Data Analyst I exam. For those who do not have current eligibility (e.g., transfer, permissive reinstatement, or voluntary demotions) and/or who will be new to state civil services employment, you must be on the state examination list to be eligible for these positions.
