GIS Analyst Opportunity

What you'll be doing

• Develop programs and design intuitive user interfaces, menus, and commands to fulfill user needs, while performing sophisticated spatial analyses and generating customer-tailored reports.
• Enhance the development of comprehensive geographic information systems that initiate, sustain, or optimize geospatial basemap data.
  • Create Basemaps
  • Develop Tile Caches
  • Conduct Imagery Analysis
• Execute GIS program activities using GIS hardware and software to craft detailed maps, spatial databases, and thematic data such as wetlands, road centerlines, cadastre, and historic sites.
• Digitize and systematically maintain spatial databases; document workflows, ensure data precision and completeness, finalize approved metadata forms, and produce maps reflecting the compiled information.
• Evaluate and appraise data from external sources to assess its quality.
• Act as a reliable "consultant" to internal teams during their GIS database management and quality assessment, providing essential user support.

The right candidate has

• Minimum of two years of professional experience in GIS, cartography, CADD, or a related specialty.
• Proficiency with ArcGIS Online (AGOL) and Portal; expertise in Experience Builder and Dashboard skills.
• Experience in using FME or Data Interoperability tools is advantageous.
• Required experience with ArcPro and web services; Spatial Analyst expertise and Esri Enterprise (SDE via Catalog) databases knowledge are beneficial.
• Proven ability to update and maintain metadata for both new and existing open data elements using Esri and other technological tools to evaluate data quality.
