Position : Floating Assistant Teacher
Location : Yellow Brick Road Early Childhood Development Center

What You'll Do:

  • Rotate between different classrooms, assisting with daily activities and lessons across all age groups, from infants to school-age children.
  • Provide support wherever needed, from leading small group activities to one-on-one mentoring, helping to manage classroom dynamics, and stepping in for lead teachers as required.
  • Contribute to creating a nurturing and stimulating environment in every class you assist.
  • Engage with all children, building strong relationships and becoming a familiar, comforting presence in their day.
  • Collaborate closely with the entire teaching staff, offering flexibility and support across the center.

Requirements:

  • Must meet basic requirements of local childcare regulatory agency
  • Previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program preferred
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs, the ability to properly lift infants into and out of a crib.
  • Must be willing to learn and appreciation our core values which are: Collaboration, Innovation, Communication, Nurturing, Positivity & Fun!
  • Ensure all center and licensing requirements are maintained within the room/center at all times.
  • Must adhere to the DHHS guidelines for training.
  • Must be 16 years of age or older.
  • Must pass a Nebraska Child and Adult Abuse and Neglect Central Registry check.· Must pass a background check and undergo the Nebraska State Patrol fingerprinting process.
  • Rate of pay is based on experience, position you are hired for and type of degree you have, if any and is not required.
