About Pendleton Correctional Facility

As a part of the Indiana Department of Correction, the Pendleton Correctional Facility promotes public safety by providing meaningful, effective opportunities for successful re-entry. We strive to model best Correctional practices, return productive citizens to our communities, and inspire a culture of accountability, integrity and professionalism. The Pendleton Correctional Facility is a maximum security Correctional facility, of adult males. The Pendleton Correctional Facility is located in Pendleton, Indiana. At Pendleton Correctional Facility, incarcerated individuals can participate in educational courses that teach them to read and allow them to earn a GED. Incarcerated individuals can receive substance abuse treatment, participate in parenting classes, stress and anger management courses, and can even learn vocational skills in auto body repair and printing.

 

Salary Statement

The salary for this position traditionally starts at $42,900.00 but may be commensurate with education or work experience.

 

A Day in the Life:

The essential functions of this role are as follows: 

  • Research and compile information on specific aspects of the program such as procedures, needs and policies 
  • Answer basic customer questions about program policies and procedures. 
  • Establish, organize, and maintain current and historical files related to the program. 
  • Collect information to help in the preparation of program reports, develop applications, prepare budget allocations and/or purchasing of consultative services. 
  • Maintain, organize, and monitor program assets. 
  • Schedule, prepare, and disseminate all program related training materials.

​This person must have the following requirements to be considered for employment: 

  • General knowledge of the program area. 
  • Working knowledge of applicable legislation, guidelines, agency policy and professional standards and practices. 
  • Ability to research and compile specific topics related to program area. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively. 
  • Ability to operate effectively in a group decision-making process. 
  • Ability to use tact in dealing with other agency personnel and the public. 
  • Ability to establish a working-relationship with staff and offenders.
