Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Chemist with expertise in High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and Gas Chromatography (GC) to join our team. The ideal candidate will perform advanced analytical testing and support quality control, research, and product development initiatives. This role requires a strong background in chromatographic techniques and a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot HPLC and GC instruments for qualitative and quantitative analysis.
Develop and validate analytical methods to ensure the reliability of test results.
Analyze raw materials, intermediates, and finished products to meet quality standards.
Process, review, and interpret chromatographic data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Prepare detailed reports, including test results, trends, and deviations, for internal and regulatory use.
Conduct stability testing and support ongoing monitoring of product quality.
Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
Participate in investigations related to non-conformance, Out-of-Specification (OOS) results, and corrective actions.
Perform routine maintenance and calibration of HPLC and GC systems to ensure optimal performance.
Maintain an inventory of consumables and ensure timely reordering to avoid disruptions in operations.
Work closely with R&D and production teams to optimize formulations and processes.
Provide technical support and training on chromatographic techniques to team members.
Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Assist in preparing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure adherence to laboratory protocols.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field.
Minimum 2-5 years of hands-on experience with HPLC and GC in an industrial or laboratory setting.
Proficiency in chromatographic software (e.g., Empower, Chromeleon, OpenLab).
Strong understanding of method development, validation, and troubleshooting for HPLC/GC.
Familiarity with other analytical techniques (e.g., UV-Vis, FTIR, dissolution testing) is a plus.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
