Position Type: Full-Time
Caseload: Certified School Nurse for Health Room; Middle School & High School
Pay range: $40+/hr; based on experience

Responsibilities:

• Provide professional nursing care, assessment, and treatment for students with illnesses, injuries, and chronic conditions during school hours.
• Administer prescribed medications and manage medication administration records in pliance with school policies and state regulations.
• Monitor and manage students with chronic health conditions, collaborating with parents, physicians, and school staff to create and implement individualized health care plans.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies, providing immediate care and initiating appropriate protocols.
• Conduct health screenings, including vision, hearing, and other required assessments, to ensure early detection and intervention.
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records for all students, adhering to privacy regulations and school policies.
• Educate students, parents, and staff on health-related topics, such as hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other relevant personnel to create a healthy and safe school environment.
• Participate in the development and implementation of school health policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• CertifiedSchool Nurse (CSN) credential.
• Strong clinical skills and ability to assess and manage various health conditions.
• Empathy, patience, and the ability to connect with students of all ages.
• Excellent munication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of state and federal health regulations and their application in a school setting.
• Experience in pediatric or school nursing is a plus.
