Suspected Amador Park Shooter Booked at Santa Rita Jail

Pleasanton, CA—Police had been able to track the suspected shooter who tried to rob two victims at the Amador Park.
A 24-year-old man has been arrested for a suspected robbery and shooting that took place last month. The police couldn’t track the victims initially who nearly missed the bullets shot by the suspect at Amador Park in Pleasanton.
The police couldn’t find the suspect at the crime scene after the report of a man brandishing firearms was received at the Pleasanton Police Department. The suspect who is identified as Trevor Copeland was initially detained but released when he denied being involved in the shooting.
On May 3, 2016—Police were able to find proof of the suspect’s involvement in the shooting after searching through his house. Copeland later confessed to his involvement and explained his motive to rob the victims off their property.
Copeland was arrested on suspicion of using a deadly weapon for assault and is now booked into Santa Rita Jail.
